1972 G.I. Joe and Big Jim Newspaper Advertisement
This newspaper ad from December of 1972 reminds me that Mattel’s Big Jim action figure is one of those lines that I know very little about. I’ve always been a little more interested in Hasbro’s G.I. Joe and Mego’s Action Jackson, but to be fair to Mattel the Big Jim line actually had some nifty toys.
I love how G.I. Joe towers over Big Jim in the illustration. I’m betting Mattel wasn’t a fan of this presentation.
