1984 Diakron Guardian Newspaper Advertisement

I am very sorry that the updates have been so infrequent over the last several days. You see, working on my sequel to Collect These Figures and Accessories* has meant that my free time is going into book writing and design and now battlegrip.com posts, but I hope all of you can forgive me for the time invested in the book.

Still, whenever I run across something as awesome as this “Diakron” newspaper ad you just know I’m gonna drop everything and share.

UPDATE: The reason I couldn’t find this and didn’t recognize it is explained in this Facebook group post. Shared in the Diaclone Genome Project group, collectors with way more knowledge of the Japanese toys of this era have identified the toy in the image as from the Godaikin line. Thanks, team, for the assist on identifying the toy.
