1985 Select Convertors Avarians Newspaper Advertisement

Select’s line of Convertors cheap transforming robot toys of the eighties still stands out as an incredible product line. The line offered up all sorts of different alt modes for the robots, but the most memorable of all of the Convertors sublines has to be the Avarians, flying animals — I’d say birds, but there was a bat in the line — including Rex, the toy seen in this May 16, 1985, advertisement from Value City and found in the Cincinatti Enquirer.
