Spotted Online – Metallic Green Lantern Review

DC and Mattel are going all out as they get ready for the upcoming Green Lantern movie. Between the upcoming Green Lantern Classics action figures*, the already-available DC Direct Green Lantern set* (man, the more I look at that battle-damaged Manhunter the more I want one), and a huge push in comics, statues, and other stuff . . . well, we’re being overwhelmed with Green Lantern-related goodies.

And the toy and comic bloggers are more than happy to help with this Green Lantern push. (Look, even I’m in on the action.) For example, Lemonjuice McGee’s Hobotastic has unleashed this Metallic Hal Jordan review for everyone who needs a shiny Green Lantern action figure.

See, it’s reviews like this that have me peeking at the DC Universe Classics action figures . . . despite the distribution troubles. And this is a fun review that has a fun opening statement that’s sure to grab attention:

Green Lantern. That’s all I’m gonna have to tag this post with for it to get a zillion hits. Pretty soon us nerdy real Green Lantern fans will feel crapped upon by the million johnny-come-latelys that will be rallying around the Ryan Reynolds flick (I’m also looking forward to it like a blathering idiot.).

Any guesses on how many Green Lantern action figures we’ll see released between now and the end of 2011?

  1. People have had reports of QC problems even with the re-release. Those will never end. We could be on Wave 75 and you’re Chief figure will probably break. They complete the classic Titans team in the year 2045 when Scott’s son’s son has taken over DCU Legends as line manager. Can’t wait!
