An Estate Sale Surprise

Last weekend what was planned as a weekend at home turned into non-stop running. Garage/estate sale crawling, a movie, a model train show trip, and several other small activities all kept me out of the house.

The estate sale we hit, though, was worth the stop because I found a treasure for $4.

$4? Sold!

$4? Sold!

What looked like a sale loaded with nothing but glassware, trinkets, blankets, and junk fast became a great stop as I stepped into the garage and saw Castle Grayskull. It’s not complete, but it’s going to be a beautiful display piece on my shelf.

And when I opened the playset I found more.

surprise

Wow!

Now I wanna go to garage sales again tomorrow. :)

You might as well stop attending garage/rummage sales for the next 4 years, because you’ve hit your quota. I only find one good thing for every 50 trips.

I’ve gotta try, though. Maybe if I hit 50 sales in one day then I’ll find another gem.
