Review – Awesome Chocolate

I walked down to Grand Central Station this morning to grab breakfast and get in some exercise before heading off for the last day of Toy Fair and, as I sometimes do, I poked around and eventually discovered something totally unnecessary. But since it was only $0.50 at half-price, and because the calorie count wasn’t too bad, I grabbed myself some Valentine’s Day chocolate.

I’m sure the generic transforming robot illustration on the package had nothing to do with me buying this particular box of chocolate.

Packaging

Your generic heart-shaped candy box, this one wins because of the construction vehicle transforming robot. This guy looks ready to hang with Construction King (review here) and the Marchon Roadbots (Loadorr review here, Hookorr review here, and Cementorr review here). It’s not the greatest art in the world, but I found it entertaining and well worth grabbing.

The Candy

Three small pieces. A caramel, a dark chocolate, and an orange creme. It’s your generic chocolate and it was just fine. Not “Awesome” like the package claims, but good enough. The caramel was my favorite.

Closing Thoughts

Transforming robot packaged candy can never be bad, right? This was well worth the fifty cents and I cannot believe I actually took time to snap some bad photos and string together some words. Blame Newt at Infinite Hollywood for this post; he sometimes posts candy reviews and I find them funny. I know this one isn’t funny, but I figured some of you would at least appreciate the art.

Philip Reed really has to get off to his last meeting and then have some fun at the New York Toy Fair. Bye, guys!
