Spotted Online – Resurrection of Monstress

Yesterday morning I caught this post at Action Figure Blues about a decade-old action figure series, Resurrection of Monstress. Manufactured by Japanese company Yellow Submarine in the late 90s, early 00s, these sexy monster action figures actually look a lot cooler than I would have expected if they had been described to me.

And, to be fair, I have to admit that these monstrous beauties looked neat enough that I poked around a little online to see how tough it would be to find one of them (either Franken Steela or Creature Gillella). And, unsurprisingly, that search eventually led me to CollectionDX and their list of reviews. Awesome.

More searching uncovered the toys for sale at Hobby Link Japan and over at Amazon.com*.

The prices online seem to range from fair to ridiculous, so I may just end up grabbing one or two of the figures in the series. Until then, though, I can always click back to the post at Action Figure Blues and take a closer look at these wonderful toys.
