Manly Wade Wellman’s “Who Fears the Devil”

Visit Horror Mall!

Do you remember last month when the new Who Fears the Devil by Manly Wade Wellman (Wikipedia) happened to pop up here at battlegrip.com (mentioned here)? Well, the book is back . . . but this time it’s because my e-mailing included a link to the 1963 edition up at Horror Mall. $200 — less than I’ve seen it at other sites — and an edition I would love to have in my collection.

But I think I’ll play it smart and just leave the book where it sits on the web. After all, I’ve already got these stories and really don’t need an old book. Even if I do enjoy the feel of old books.

Who Fears the Devil? is a collection of fantasy and horror short stories by American author Manly Wade Wellman. It was released in 1963 by Arkham House in an edition of 2,058 copies and was Wellman’s only book released by Arkham House. The collection consists of all of Wellman’s Silver John stories that had been published at the time.
