I thought I was, but then this Batman Legacy Batman First Appearance Action Figure* jumped out of the shadows and made me question just what the hell was going on. Wow, I am shocked to see this figure design in the Batman Legacy line. Just how many kids in Wal-Mart or Target are going to choose this figure over any other Batman design that’s on the market?

Care to elaborate on what you find strange? Is it just the pink gloves?
@DFC – I find it strange that when the shelves are stocked with modern Batman designs that Mattel would put work into this design. I can’t see how a kid is going to choose this Batman over one based on the new movie . . . but then maybe kids don’t even buy Batman action figures that aren’t based on a cartoon.
Indeed. But this is nothing new, DC and Marvel’s toy producers are releasing many figures with a lot of nostalgia value and little to no movie or tv coverage. They must realize that older fans are a large market; if children are the vast majority of sales, I would imagine that we would be seeing even fewer of these classic designs.
