Easter, the Christmas of Spring

It’s Easter, and that means that I am reminded of when I was a kid and Easter was one of those exciting holidays that was way freaking cooler than President’s Day or Valentine’s Day (but nothing like Memorial Day, since that was usually the start of summer). I remember that one of my favorite Easters was the year that my basket included a Transformers Combaticon — Swindle, I think — and how equally happy and frustrated I was.
