Spotted Online – Video: “Is it time for 3A to focus on their back orders and not new products?”

People were upset with me when I first posted “Are We Witnessing the Death of 3A Toys?” back in September of 2010. The deleted comments were offensive, the e-mails were rude, and you would have thought I had kicked someone’s child when all I did was say a few things about a toy company.

And things with 3A continued to give me headaches until I finally dumped a lot of my collection. I liked the designs, but a lot of the toys were late and often had minor issues. But it was the lateness, and the lack of concern from 3A about the lateness, that really helped drive me away. Now it’s happening to others. Check out this video at YouTube for what I feel is a reasonable set of thoughts on the subject of 3A and their lateness. Yes, I agree the company needs to focus on making and shipping what they have taken money for.

It’s just too bad that the company didn’t take steps to improve their method of operation a few years ago when some of us first started calling them on the lateness of deliveries.

  1. I remember that post! Sorry you caught so much flack for it. A great video with some very well-articulated thoughts. I think the hardcore fans are really pushing out a lot of the sane ones of late. It seems like if you’re not an all in fan then you’re some kind of race traitor.

I really like threeA’s toys, but I also like that they’re obscure enough and often uniquely untied to characters abd properties that I don’t feel like I have to have everything that comes out and usually don’t flip out if I miss sometthing I really wanted. That being said, they’re getting a lot more expensive and without having product ready to go when it’s paid for, I do sometimes feel like I’m just being ground to powder for liking their toys.

I just hope the Real Steel toys aren’t ridiculous expensive, but I think I’ll be SOL on that one. Why do they have to be 17″ tall? Who even has space for more than one of those?
