Review – Pop! Vinyl Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

After yesterday’s Pop! Vinyl Santa Claus review (review here) I thought it would be a good idea to return to the Rankin/Bass Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer* Christmas special and pull out another Funko Pop! Vinyl toy: Rudolph! And since it’s a holiday and there’s really not a lot more for me to say about this series we’re going to let the photos do most of the work.

Another Great Sculpt and Rough Paint

Since this was released in 2011 it’s not too surprising that the paint is a big ragged here and there. As with earlier Pop! Holidays toys (Amazon.com search*) the paint isn’t the best, but as I said before Funko’s paint apps have been getting better this year so I’m hoping that going forward the paint will be as great as the sculpts.

And if that happens then this series is only going to get better, because Funko constantly has incredible sculpts and their toys are a lot of fun. For being so unsure of the series at first I have to admit that I have way more Pop! Vinyl toys than I ever expected to; the mix of fun licenses and gorgeous sculpts is what keeps me coming back to the line.

And Now Pics!

Enjoy the photos! I’ve said all I can say and now it’s time to get to work on Transforming Collections, the living room rearrangement job, and material for the upcoming Glyos System special week.
