Battle Beasts Short Animation from Diamond Select Toys
More than just a simple commercial, this near-two minute stop-motion animation for Diamond Select Toys’ Battle Beasts series (Amazon.com search*) is just one big fight, but it’s a fun fight and the animation work is enjoyable so I’m recommending that you drop everything and watch.

Done well enough but it’s just the tale of issue #0 and it doesn’t make the figures look any more appealing. I really miss the old designs… minimates don’t do it for me at all!
@Stratos – Based on what I hear about reading vs. videos I suspect that in the end way more people will watch this video than will ever read the comic. But then I’ve been reading some depressing stats about video lately; a hell of a lot of people sure love YouTube.
There are a few gems out there but I honestly feel that most modern comics and books that I should be interested in reading are seriously lacking in most areas. If the story is solid, the artwork sucks or vice versa… and some all around suck while others are modern works of art. But it doesn’t surprise me that video is winning over print… but I don’t think print is dead either. Video is easier to digest… especially for the unimaginative. Print requires a bit of effort and typically more time commitment.
I know I’m waiting for my copies of Transforming Collections books with eager anticipation! 🙂
