Iron Man Combines the Jumpstarters and Battlechargers
You may remember my review of the Spider-Man Flip & Attack Spider Racer last year (review here). This toy took the 1985 Transformers Jumpstarters auto-transformation design and wrapped the Spider-Man character around it . . . and the idea must have sold well because Hasbro is back for more of the same idea. Iron Man is ready for action!
It looks like the auto-transform may even be slightly different, but the basic idea of auto-transformation is there and the toy feels like it’s continuing what Hasbro started last year. But I didn’t buy this one and I may be wrong.
But this time around I noticed something a little different on the packaging. Not content with using the Jumpstarter auto-transform design I see Hasbro has pulled out the old Battlechargers name (see the TFWiki) and added “Battle Charger” to the packaging. Okay, that’s kinda neat. Totally useless if I stop and think about it, but still neat.
