Spotted Online – Preternia Reviews Masters of the Universe Classics Hydron

weekofdoom

Not once has Mattel returned my emails or invited me to an event. Am I getting lost in spam filters, or are they just so overwhelmed that they don’t have room for any other invitations to NYTF press events? Not that I would have had time this year, but a response or invitation at least once would be nice.

Anyway, Mattel did invite some people, and last month at NYTF they handed out the Masters of the Universe Classics Hydron action figure to the bloggers and media junkies who attended their showing. And we all get to benefit from that with this Hydron review. The toy looks pretty cool, but I think Jon nails the problem with the heroic New Adventures characters when he says:

“The problem is all of the heroic people are regular old white dudes wearing space outfits designed in the eighties.”

  1. “The problem is all of the heroic people are regular old white dudes wearing space outfits designed in the eighties.”

A confluence of my two favourite design elements in action figures! Serendipitous!
