Unofficial Gobots Cy-Kill Toy in the Works
As the competition in the field of third-party Transformers toys grows more intense we see the net cast wider to capture more potential buyers . . . including fans of the original Gobots toys! Unique Toys has pre-orders open on an unofficial Cy-Kill toy that’s looking fairly cool, even if it’s not an exact match for the original character design from 1983.
I’m now left wondering how long it will be before someone creates a modern version of the old Gobots Command Center playset. That would be pretty cool to see happen.

Oh man, I wish I could get me some updated go-bots. Am I imagining it, or doesn’t Hasbro own the rights?
Also, while we’re on the subject of transformers, I was thinking about Cyclonus the other day, who is one of my favorite characters. So I dug around in my box of transformers and pulled out the TF Universe figure (still love this guy). Then I had a distinct memory of hearing about the toy from you.
Sure enough, not only was I introduced to Cyclonus because of you, but I bought the Universe figure because of your review. Tthen over the past 5 or so years Cyclonus has become one of my favorite characters, all stemming from how much I liked his toy.
So anyway, I declare today my personal Cyclonus day, all thanks to you, Phil!

Did you grab any of the repaints of that design?
@phil – I never got any of the repaints. I do remember picking up and considering the Cyclonus vs Rodimus boxset many times, but never pulled the trigger and never found it on sale.
I do want to get one that more closely resembles his G1 appearance.
@clark – The Strafe repaint is pretty sweet. As is the Shattered Glass Cyclonus — https://www.battlegrip.com/?p=24886 — but I think they’re both kinda pricey pieces.
