Lee’s “Bookstore” in 2005

This 2005 full-page ad from an issue of Lee’s Toy Review (Amazon.com search*) shows us Lee’s Bookstore, a selection of all of the special inserts available at that time. Looks like Star Wars and G.I. Joe are quite popular with readers.

Some of these have landed on my lap from time to time, and every single one that I’ve seen has left me wanting more. What are the chances that all of these will one day be collected into a hardcover book? I’d totally buy one.

  1. I’ve asked this before but no one ever seems to have an answer. Whatever happened to Lee’s? They’re not still in print, are they? If so, I never see the magazine anywhere. They still offer subscription information on their website, though.

    1. @Kevin – I don’t think anyone knows what happens. The site’s dead when I last checked a few days ago. I assume the entire magazine is now dead, but I am not certain.
