Spotted Online – Magic: The Gathering Garruk Wildspeaker Review at The Fwoosh

Having never been all that much of a fan of the Magic: The Gathering TCG the announced action figures from Funko (Amazon.com search*) struck me as quite cool, but not exactly the sort of thing I was excited about or eager to buy.

And then I saw the Garruk Wildspeaker review at The Fwoosh. Woah, that’s far more impressive than I was expecting to see. Check out the review by Ibentmyman-thing and marvel at the sculpt and those wonderful paint apps. I’m especially excited by how bulky and weathered the toy looks, with that armor and layers of costuming pure works of art. I now wonder how well this guy would sit in with Mattel’s Masters of the Universe Classics action figures. Anyone know of pics showing Garruk Wildspeaker* with any Masters of the Universe Classics figures?

  1. I saw this figure and the White Lion figure and they looked absolutely awful. Paint aps were lousy and the figures looked cheap. I was really disappointed because I’d been looking forward to these.

    1. @izdawiz – I’ve not seen one in person yet, but I’ll keep my eyes open. Was it just a one-off, or were all of them on the pegs poorly painted?
