A recent email from Cotswold Collectibles pointed me at The Official Identification Guide to G.I. Joe available at the Cotswold site. A G.I. Joe book not in my collection, and one that covers the original 12-inch action figures and the Adventure Team era, I had to dig deeper into the book.

My first stop was Amazon.com (hey, if I can get it there and use my Prime account then I will to save on shipping). It turns out that The New Official Identification Guide to GI Joe and Accessories, 1964-1978* is available at the site, but for much more than Cotswold Collectibles is asking . . . so you can probably guess where I ended up placing my order.

Things didn’t stop with ordering the book. A few more searches online soon led me to gijoeinformation.com, a site by the book’s author, and a site that is loaded with lots of very cool and unexpected stuff. Start with If G.I. Joe Could Talk and get ready for a fun time browsing over 300 images.

Really, the site’s a blast and should keep me properly entertained until the book reaches me.
