1984 Risk Boardgame Ad
When Hasbro acquired Parker Brothers in the early nineties they got their hands on several excellent games, one of which was Risk (Amazon.com search*). This 1984/1985 Risk ad is the first real memory of the game I can dig out of my skull, but even though I remember seeing this on the back cover of many Marvel comics it wasn’t until late 1986 that I actually had the opportunity to play the game.
I think I personally prefer Stratego over Risk, but I must admit that this ad really fires up the nostalgia centers of my brain.

I remember this ad from the comic books of that year. Even though the game has been around since the 60’s I grew up with this exact version, and it’s been my favorite ever since. (In the 60’s version the armies were made of wood)
