Kickstarter – Lost Protectors Action Figure Series
Designed as roughly 6-inch scalish action figures, the Lost Protectors series is kinda inspired by the Transformers Pretenders of the eighties. Definitely not an exact match, but looking at the various toy designs you can see where the Pretenders influenced these new action figures.
The project is set to close on March 29, and as of this moment the project is under 20% of the way to its $80,000 goal. There are a lot of reward levels available (a hell of a lot of reward levels), but if all you’re after is one of the toys then jump down to the $55 level where you can start to find the figure rewards.
In a clear homage to the inner robots of the Transformers Pretenders these action figures also come with “tech drones,” small robot toys with interchangeable parts. The robots also partsform into vehicles, or the robots can be broken down and used as weapons and gear for the action figures.

Deep is right, this project has been in development for a long time and it shows. Lots of rewards, lots of unlocks, lots of product.
Only concern would be that if it takes off they might not be prepared for that level of manufacturing, but reading their FAQ it seems that they have all their bases covered.
@Court – I think any concerns about manufacturing is valid, regardless of how much experience the Kickstarter creator happens to have. The scaleability of manufacturing is always a concern, and this exact issue was hours of my day yesterday during a ten hour meeting in NYC.
I can’t wait to talk about yesterday’s meeting. I managed to get really lucky and sit in on the planning for a very cool Kickstarter project that’s going to be a big surprise when it’s announced.
I’m currently in for $250.00 on this project. I’m also an affiliate. Official Kaiju Kaos game stats will be given to every backer for every figure that releases via this project. It’ll be a backer-only PDF. I will also release stats for all figures to the general public except for the Kickstarter-exclusive items.
