Star Wars: TIE Fighter Animated Short Complete
I mentioned this project once before, and I have now watched the entire short on our television (gotta love how easy it is to stream YouTube videos on TV these days) and am amazed at the amount of work that was put into this video. It looks professional, exciting, and makes me wish that Disney would sink energy into a direct-to-video release of an entire 60 minute or 90 minute film using this style of animation.
I sure hope the creator can use his work here to secure a job as an animator!

I’ve always wished they would have made either animated movies or multi-part animated mini-series of expanded universe stories back in the late 90’s. Like Shadows of the Empire for example, that was a perfect opportunity to have an animated movie. They did action figures, a video game, comics, and even a soundtrack for that novel, why not an animated movie. And they could have had it voiced by the original trilogy cast.
