The Morning Call of Allentown, PA, includes a multi-page advertisement for the Leh’s stores where I found this ad block for Hasbro’s Battle Beasts. $1.69/each isn’t the lowest price we’ve found for Battle Beasts in 1987 — this Boscov’s ad lists the toys for $0.99/each — but it’s still significantly less than the Hasbro MSRP and one more data point as we determine that yes, unfortunately, Battle Beasts toys failed at retail almost instantly on release. The poor sales likely contribute to the costs to buy these toys today; lower sales means fewer toys out there for us to buy.
