“Hasbro Motorized Mini Transformers” at Payless in 1988

Yesterday’s Thottlebots video made me wonder if it would be possible to uncover a Throttlebots ad or two in the newspaper archives. As you’ve already noticed, the answer was: YES! A Payless ad in the March 18, 1988, issue of the Santa Cruz Sentinel revealed this incredible Throttlebots ad block with the toys on sale for just $2.99/each. The only danger of this ad? It reminds me that I do not yet own a complete collection of the original Throttlebots toys.
