Mezco 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea Action Figures

Mezco’s 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea action figure series (Amazon.com*, figurerealm.com) looks as if it were trying to compete with the McFarlane monster packs. A figure and a micro-playset all in one package? Yeah, definitely inspired by those McFarlane Toys monster playsets of the late nineties. This 2001 ad from ToyFare makes the Captain Nemo set look nifty enough, but not so amazing that I’m about to race out and grab one for my shelves. This is a good thing; my shelves are loaded enough these days.
