Savage Mondo Blitzers and Name Controversy in 1992
I stumbled across this 1992 newspaper article while exploring the online Google archives, and I immediately realized I didn’t know enough about the Savage Mondo Blitzers toyline from Kenner to really understand what I was reading.
Fortunately, Kenner Collector was there with an entire post devoted to the controversy surrounding the names of the Savage Mondo Blitzers toys. Weird and fun, it appears that some adults were so bothered by the names that they must have completely forgotten that the Garbage Pail Kids already made jokes out of boogers and violence.
Silly adults.
