Sectaurs on Sale in 1986
The Sectaurs Kickstarter project closes in a few days, meaning you don’t have a lot of time left to support the creation of new action figures. I have zero behind-the-scenes info on the project and cannot say whether or not the toys will deliver on schedule — or what the quality will be — but I do know that the world has tried once before to make Sectaurs a hit; it did not end well.
Examples? Well, that Transformers ad we saw earlier today also included these two Sectaurs toys for $5/each. Toys selling for less than 1/3 the original price a year after release doesn’t point to a successful line. Sorry, Sectaurs, but you were simply one of many failed toylines of the eighties and not a popular hit toyline.
I had Spidrax and one of the other steeds (as well as almost all of the small insects w/characters.) I wonder if my parents only got them for me after they were discounted like this -_-
