Spotted Online – Adventure People Firestar 1 Video Review
After yesterday’s 1980 newspaper ad I went searching for some more info on the Fisher-Price Adventure People Firestar 1 toy. There’s not a lot of info on the toy online, but I did quickly encounter this short (four-minute) video review that was posted earlier this month.
I guess I’m not the only one again looking at these old Adventure People toys.
I remember having one of the motorcycle riders as well as the pop-up tent. They must have been hand-me downs, or I lost most of the pieces at some point, because that’s all I remember owning. I remember the tent was pretty durable. They used some heavy-weight cloth on that thing.
I’m wondering if the space figures were an attempt to cash in on the whole Star Wars phenomenon, or if they were already in development before the movie was released.
We had that ship in our toybox as a kid, but don’t remember the figure at all. Maybe it came from a garage sale, or a hand-me-down from a friend.
