Spotted Online – Hasbro’s SDCC Exclusives for G.I. Joe

Hasbro’s G.I. Joe series has had a couple of rough years at retail, but things are still strong enough that we’re seeing G.I. Joe exclusives (Amazon.com search*) find their way to various outlets . . . including this year’s San Diego Comic Con.

Action Figure Pics has posted images and details on two different sets releasing at San Diego Comic Con. The Crimson Strike set includes a Skystriker repaint while Desert Duel offers up a fantastic Cobra-themed repaint of the classic Snow Cat toy.

See the Action Figure Pics post for full images and more info, and don’t be too shocked if I find myself chasing down that Desert Duel set. In addition to the Snow Cat repaint there’s also a cool Cobra Air Trooper design that’s going to be tough to ignore.

It’s great to see Hasbro finding a way to get G.I. Joe fans some new vehicles and figures. The line may be struggling at retail, but clearly Hasbro’s not yet ready to quit on the line. Good.
