Spotted Online – K-Mart Star Wars Sales Flyer from 1999
T-Rav has posted at Doomkick several pages from a 1999 K-Mart sales flyer promoting the release of Star Wars Episode 1 toys. Awesome! As T-Rav writes, it’s fairly easy to forget just how excited we were back before the movie penetrated our brains and our brains said “wait, what?,” and this ad is just one example of the hype of the time.

It really is easy to forget how excited we all seemed to be just before any of us saw Episode 1. Star Wars was everywhere. I know it’s out there now, on mac & cheese and cereal and a few other things but I don’t think the excitement for Ep 7 is at the same place it was for Ep 1.
