Star Wars Costumes Exhibit in NYC
Gina and I visited the Star Wars costumes exhibit in NYC yesterday and I can happily report that this is worth the price of admission. Of course the price of admission jumped after the exhibit because we ordered the Star Wars Costumes* book, but even then this was totally worth the cost because of how incredible all of the costumes are to see up close.
Flash photography wasn’t allowed, but they did permit us to snap pics of the costumes: I’ve posted a Flickr set of fifty pics I took in the exhibit. Awesome stuff, even if I am now left wondering why so many of the Empire Strikes Back props were dated 1979. The other films all had the correct dates, but Empire’s signs were a year earlier than the reality as I remember it. Empire was released in 1980, right?
