The Vintage Studio Offers Kenner-Style Action Figures on Facebook
The Crazy Toys Stormtrooper, pack (mentioned here) isn’t the only modern day Kenner-like Stormtrooper pack in the world. This morning I ran across The Vintage Studio on Facebook and their Kenner-like Sandtrooper action figure. This is completely bootleg and not approved by anyone, and the design shows that someone behind the project is a fan of Kenner-style action figures from the seventies.
They also show a pic of the new Stormtrooper sculpt beside the Kenner 1978 Stormtrooper action figure. The design is different so that it isn’t confused for the classic Stormtrooper. The photo description says:
“Our Sandtrooper is an entirelly new figure in every aspect, not one piece is the same of an original Kenner one, nor casted from it. Absolutelly new sculpt, torso, arms and legs, and it stands alone as a completelly new Action Figure to increase our Vintage Star wars Collections.”
I’ve no idea how long it will take Disney to find this and close it down, so any of you who collect vintage Star Wars action figures who want this design will need to act now. This bootleg is completely unauthorized and I suspect that it will vanish quickly.
