Tomy’s Pony Plates Art Kit on Sale in 1982

I shared the Tomy Pony Plates art toy a few days ago, and now I’m left trying to determine just how many different art kits Tomy produced for sale in the late seventies and early eighties. I’m slowly poking at the situation and digging out more info, but today I want to direct your attention to this Austin American Statesman ad from December 6, 1982, where the H.E.B. chain lists the toy for sale. $8.88 seems kinda pricey, but grocery stores always have higher prices on toys, right?
