“Villainous character nets $50,000 prize” in 1986

It took a few decades, but eventually Fearless Photog* became a real toy. Mike Pellegrini writes in this 1986 newspaper article of Mattel’s Masters of the Universe character design contest, telling us of a local sixth grader who won $50,000 for the character of Compactor, “an unpleasant fellow who uses his ‘vise chest’ to literally do in his enemies.”

I thought I had already shared this article before, but a quick search of battlegrip.com is turning up nada. Hmmmm. Am I now dreaming about blogging? That can’t be good for my brain.
