Why have updates to the site been non-existent for a month? The office is consuming a lot of my time as summer convention season and projects eat hours out of every single day. I am very sorry for the lack of updates for the past month; I am sure many of you will understand that my position at the office sometimes demands that I devote 99% of my time to running things.

Part of what is eating so much of my time is work on The Fantasy Trip, Steve Jackson’s RPG design (from 1977 to 1980) that was recently reverted back to Steve and instantly became one of our big projects for the year. After decades of the rights being locked away, it’s no surprise that Steve wanted to bring the game back to tables just as soon as he recovered ownership of the game.

As part of preparing to take the game to Kickstarter, I have been chasing down old articles, reviews, and information on The Fantasy Trip game. I want to be sure that we have a clear understanding of the game’s history — The Fantasy Trip pre-dates my own introduction to roleplaying games by about four or five years — and that has led to some fun discoveries, such as this ad for character sheets that I found in Interplay #8. I had no idea that FASA published material for The Fantasy Trip!
