Power Attack Batman Series at Wal-Mart

Okay, I completely missed these new Power Attack Batman action figures (Amazon.com search*) and now that I’ve seen them I think I want them all. They’re highly-stylized figures in an assortment of insanely bright colors. And there’s a Mister Freeze in the series? Sold! That is, if I can find one. I did grab Thermo Attack Batman, though, and if he’s decent then I am sure I’ll get another figure in the line.

The Wal-Mart that I stopped in this morning had a pretty good selection; I think that if Thermo Attack Batman is cool then my next will have to be the more traditionally-colored Twin Blades Batman or the Robin in the line.

  1. Wow, just looked up the Robin, he’s looking pretty dapper. Also, the Killer Croc figure is pretty awesome.

  2. @Tommy – I thought I would like Killer Croc. But holding the pack I just didn’t feel the love for the toy that I’m feeling with those crazy-colored Batman toys.

  3. I saw them the other day. They reminded me of some kind of stage between the DC Superfriends and DCU Classics. They’re certainly a lot better than the DKR ones!

  4. I have Killer Croc and he’s awesome! I’ll be posting about him on Saturday – maybe the closer look will change your mind 😉

  5. Oh, and I wanted to add in case you didn’t already know – that version of the Batmobile will be released as a Matchbox soon (if it isn’t already out there – I haven’t found one yet myself!)

  6. I looked at these today when I stopped by Wally World after work, they actually do look pretty cool. I love the old Kenner style vibe they have, what with the neon colors and crazy gear. Passed though as I was a little short on cash and needed to buy a Lego set to cannibalize for parts.

  7. @Black Zarak – I’m assuming that this line will do well and be readily available throughout the summer and fall. Without a cartoon to go with it I don’t know how long it will last, but the price and designs should be strong enough for these to stay on shelves through the Christmas season. You should have lots of chances to grab some of these.
