Unofficial Transformers Alicon Now at TFSource

The Impossible Toys Alicon, a take on the classic Sharkticon (TFWiki) design, is available now at site sponsor TFSource. I’ve got a number of earlier releases by Impossible Toys — Transformers Quintesson Prosecutor review here, Transformers Quintesson Scientist review here, Transformers Quintesson Executioner review here, Kremzeak review here, Spike and Sparkplug review here — and the toys range from excellent to less than I hoped for.

So how’s the Alicon toy? I don’t know, but I’m seriously considering ordering one to go with the various Quintessons on my shelf.

  1. I have always rooted for Impossible Toys. I love that they did exo-suits, nightbird the TFA humans and, of course, the various animated movie characters…but the execution is always shoddy – at best.

With this release, they seem to have taken some solid steps forward, but it’s NOT an $80 figure. No way, no how. Not considering what other 3rd parties are offering at similar price points. If this drops to $45-$50? I’d buy two in a heartbeat. But at the current asking price…just…no.

    My $.02.

  2. @Iron Panda – My Alicon arrived and I can see what you mean. It should be about $40 or $45. And why weren’t there any instructions in the box? I guess I’m lucky that it was pretty easy to figure out how to transform it.
