Poll – Response to BattleGrip Features

The Features category here at battlegrip.com is one I’ve been thinking a bit harder about this month and it’s now time to ask for feedback on the various features that I’ve been writing lately. Please take a moment to select one of the poll options — if you’re on a mobile device scroll down because the site sidebars appear at the bottom of the page — to give me a broad overview to the question: “Are you enjoying the feature articles that have been running this month?”

(If you’re on a standard computer you should see the poll to the right of this text. If it’s not there then something very weird has happened.)

The poll closes on February 1, 2013. Thank you for voting!

January Features

To make it easier to figure out exactly which posts I’m talking about there’s a list of the feature articles I’ve run in January. Please read through these and if you have anything to add feel free to post a comment to this post or to the individual features.

  1. I’ve really liked looking back at old toy lines & some of the behind the scenes peeks at the vintage Star Wars toys, but I also enjoy reviews, as there usually for things that I find interesting, but will probably never get into my hot little hands. Is there a way to vote “A little from column A, a little from column B?”

  2. I enjoy the features as they have a bit more content behind them and i like the “focused” subject manner a bit more. Now a little less Star wars would be my only request but that is because I am not a huge Star Wars fan and would rather read about Transformers or D&D or Fighting Fantasy books(hint)

Thanks for your all time you put into this site.

  3. While the occasional toy review is great (it also shows what you’re interested in these days), I prefer articles instead of reviews.

I know doing research and such is a bit more labor intensive than writing come commentary on a single figure – but I find reading about a concept, thoughts on an particular toy line, your discoveries in toy stores, etc. to be really interesting.

  4. I must not be on a “standard computer” because I don’t see the poll… but these types of features are probably my favorite thing on your site (not that I don’t enjoy the other things you post).

  5. @Blayne – Thanks. I’ll see if I can dig a bit deeper and uncover some new stuff to keep February entertaining. I have NYTF to visit next month so there’s sure to be some photos from the show.

  6. @Joshua – If you’re not seeing the poll to the right then try scrolling down the page. Are you using a tablet? Those shift the sidebars to the bottom of the page.

And thank you. The features are fun to write.

    1. Thanks, I see the poll now. It’s just a lot further down the page then I was expecting. When I read “If you’re on a standard computer you should see the poll to the right of this text,” I expected to see it directly to the right of that sentence.

  7. I’m loving the feature articles–keep ’em coming. And you may already be working on one, but cool new masthead would be more fitting for the awesome content on the site! (Maybe a little tagline too, for a description).
