1997 Kenner Star Wars: Power of the Force “Hunt for the Ultimate Bounty in the Universe” Advertisement
Today we go all of the way back to early 1997 and an issue of Topps’ Star Wars Galaxy magazine (Amazon.com search*) for this (now classic) Kenner advertisement featuring a live action Boba Fett and a handful of the vehicles and action figures Kenner was offering at the time. Seeing this ad again sure brings back memories of the mid-nineties and just how much Star Wars was still “new” and exciting. The collectible card game. The action figures. The comics and novels. Yes, it was a more innocent time.

I miss 90’s Star Wars fandom. it was a lot smaller, you had to dig to find new info and stories, though you were still considered a geek for liking Star Wars and made fun of for it back then. Now there are just too many outlets for one brand.
Nice find! I love the old adverts like this; even though I don’t remember this particular one, it still brings back the memories of seeing this wave for the first time in stores. My friend and I split the wave; I got Han, Boba Fett, the Sandtrooper and the Speeder Bike, and he got the rest (sans ships). Good times!
