Star Wars Black Boba Fett Found at Retail . . . in Mexico

The struggle of the Star Wars Black action figure series (Amazon.com search*) continues! On Saturday, while exploring a grocery store in Cozumel, Gina and I ran across two Star Wars Black Boba Fett action figures. Amazing!

The US dollar price on these translates to roughly $22.50/figure, so if I’d really been smart (and had room) I could have grabbed both of these and offered them to those poor souls who have yet to see one of the Star Wars Black Boba Fett action figures at retail. Space was tight, though, so these were left in Mexico for someone else to discover.

Just so that Leia and Greedo don’t feel left out of the action I snapped the above pic . . . which shows three Leias and a single Greedo sitting behind one of the Boba Fett figures on the pegs. Even in Mexico that Princess Leia action figure can’t get any serious attention. Time for someone to prepare for an extended stay at the Island of Misfit Toys.

  1. I’ve only seen one Boba Fett in the wild, and as fantastic as it is, I just couldn’t bring myself to spend the $20 on it. So, I left it there for someone else who has more passion for it. On the other hand, those EU Vintage figures in your photos never made landfall anywhere near here. I’ve never seen them out there at all. The pegs were clogged, and still kind of are, with that accursed Episode I wave. I even found a child Anakin that had been put back after his head was stolen. These are strange days…

    1. @rosewater – The only place I ever saw those EU figures in the US was at a few of the local grocery stores. I guess it was kinda mean to stand right beside those figures and not even flip through to take pics of what they had for sale.
