World: Where is my book about the LJN Advanced Dungeons & Dragons toys of the eighties?
You’re on notice, world! As I was going through my collection of books over the weekend I realized that there’s not a single guide to the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons action figures and toys of 1983/1984. Now I’ve talked about this line before — see “LJN Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Toys” — but me posting an article on the web does not replace a book.
It feels almost criminal that there’s not a full-color hardcover book about this toyline. There are some posts online, and the toys make an appearance in some of the books on my shelf (as mentioned in my 2013 post), but what we really need is a hardcover book that shows the toys, packaging, advertising, catalogs, and anything else that can be tracked down and added.
Get on it, world. I want this book!

@Stratos – If I thought there was demand for a Marchon Road Bots book I’d be all over that. Want!!!
That definitely would be an amazing book. I only recently became aware of the existed of those toys and have not been able to really find a solid source of complete information online. I agree with Stratos, this should definitely be part of a series.
@Alfred Bonnabel – I fear what it would cost me to collect all of the toys to create such a book. Thousands of dollars just in toys. But it is a tempting idea. If I knew someone (or group of someones) with a complete collection I could photograph I’d tackle the idea.
I have several of these (in various conditions) and love them still! I also had the Fortress of Fangs, but that was sold at a garage sale while I was away at college. (The sting is still fresh from that one.)
I would buy the ever-loving, axe-swinging, spell-casting heck out of a book on these figures. SIGN ME UP!
