1981 “Dungeons & Dragons Adventure Game” Ad
Those Boys’ Life magazines are proving to be a lot more entertaining than I had expected. This Dungeons & Dragons ad is as cheesy as they come; was this ad really supposed to convince me to want to play the game? That must have been the goal, because TSR clearly spent money to run this in the September, 1981 issue.

Hahaha! I came across this ad a few weeks ago online and circulated it among a few DnD-playing friends. Ads like this typify how adults so often misunderstand what kids and teenagers will find cool.
