“There’s only one planet in the galaxy where you can buy Star Frontiers game . . . “

TSR’s June, 1983 issue of Dragon magazine offers up this fantastic ad for the Star Frontiers roleplaying game (Amazon.com search*). I didn’t play a lot of Star Frontiers in the eighties, but I did harvest the material for ideas and inspiration when I was running both the Star Wars and Buck Rogers XXVc roleplaying games.

What I love most about this particular ad is that artwork. With just a quick glance, we can tell this was created specifically to use in advertising, and I can fully admit that what I’d love most is a collection of old TSR advertisements for their different game lines. I’d totally buy that book!
