1992 Dungeon Boardgame Ad
Last month I posted an ad for TSR’s 1981 Dungeon boardgame. Well, not too surprisingly this is a game that has been kept available in some form or another for over three decades now. There’s even a fairly recent version* of the game that updates the classic for today’s market; but don’t expect a greatly-changed game!
Rather than think of the newest edition, though, today I’d like you to check out this ad from a 1992 issue of Marvel’s G.I. Joe comic book. Amazingly, this particular ad design isn’t all that far off from the 1981 advertisement for the game. What is it about Dungeon that had TSR sticking to a fairly consistent advertising approach for over a decade?
