“TSR Role Playing Games” on Sale in 1983

November 16, 1983. TSR’s roleplaying games surface in another newspaper ad, this time The Los Angeles Times with this small block featuring the Top Secret* RPG. I only ever played the first edition of the game, completely missing the later Top Secret/S.I. edition, so spotting this ad, while not as entertaining as a D&D ad, still brings back memories and leaves me asking: Why isn’t the first edition Top Secret* RPG in my collection?
