Damnation Alley in Starlog Magazine
Now that I’ve actually read Roger Zelazny’s Damnation Alley* novel (mentioned here) I can understand why the movie isn’t as great as it should have been: the two are so unalike that they shouldn’t even share the same name!
BUT movies always get more attention than books, so for all time it’s most likely people will think of the Damnation Alley movie and not the book. It happens. It’s unfortunate, but it’s how the money flows and works.
When I went looking for more info on Damnation Alley* I quickly ran across a short article in Starlog Magazine. This 1977 issue doesn’t say much, but it does mention delays of different Fox movies . . . including Star Wars! Fun stuff!
