New X-Wing Miniatures Game Units at New York Toy Fair

Fantasy Flight Games’ X-Wing Miniatures Game (Amazon.com search*) just got even more impressive. TIE Defender and TIE Phantom? Aw, hell, that is incredible!!! Check these pics from NYTF . . . which ends today. Aw. But I am also happy that I go home tomorrow, so it’s both good and bad that the show ends today.

  1. I can’t tell you how happy I am to see the TIE Phantom. It seems to get the shaft. When people bring up fancy TIEs its usually the TIE Defender.

I’m not so sure about the rebel offerings, but that Transport ship is sure tempting. It looks like it could be the center of a fun game.

  2. E-Wing!

Technically, that’s true IU as well as OOU, considering that there were never supposed to be more than a handful produced before the Rebels blew up the prototypes. Still wish they’d bring it back sometime, with or without the cloaking ability; it’s a strong contender for most aesthetically-pleasing of all TIE designs.
