1989 “Hardwired” Ad for the Cyberpunk Roleplaying Game

R. Talsorian’s Cyberpunk roleplaying game (Amazon.com search*) continues to be the best cyberpunk-genre RPG ever published. Just how many sourcebooks were produced for the game back in the eighties and nineties? I’ve no idea, but I own several and all of them are great resources.

One of the best supplements produced for the game was for the novel, Hardwired (Amazon.com search*), with the game supplement written by Walter Jon Williams, the author of the novel. Getting a roleplaying game sourcebook written by the author of the original novel was an unexpected surprise at the time, and now I’m wondering just when this has happened again. Ever?

You can find the ad hiding inside this Space Gamer issue that’s online at archive.org. Now to dig out the Hardwired novel and place it somewhere close so that I remember to read it again after I finish Bacigalupi’s The Water Knife*.
