Unofficial Transformers Constructicon Madblender’s Barrel of Blasting

The sixth and final piece of Hercules, the unofficial Transformers Devastator from TFC Toys, has arrived! That means that I am way behind on my reviews of the individual components. Can you believe that I have all six of these unofficial Transformers Constructicons and have only posted three reviews so far? That’s pretty sad.

Well, I popped Madblender open and while I’m not yet ready to write a review I was ready to snap some photos of the toy. This series of shots focuses on showing off Madblender’s barrel and how it breaks down into a bunch of awesome blasters.

Above shows the barrels mounted on the legs and forearms. They break down even more — enlarge the image and look at the seams in each of the barrel parts — and they very first time you pop the barrel apart into its different pieces be ready for a bit of a headache. My barrel was pretty tight and it was only after watching the video reviews posted at site sponsor TFSource — see the review here — that I just went for it and snapped the barrel apart. The trick is to just use a little force and the first time you get the pieces apart will be the hardest.

Below you can see the barrel weapons configured into massive blasters that I mounted to the shoulders. What’s nice about this arrangement is that the shoulder pieces are articulated so it is easy to swing the weapons around to fire in a lot of different directions. And those massive cannons look pretty wicked.

In the photo below I’ve attached the barrels to Madblender’s fists and then mounted his handguns under the barrel cannons. The fact that the barrel sockets and pegs are the exact same size as the personal weapons was a great touch, and looking at how everything goes together I’m starting to wonder how the assembled Hercules would look if Madblender’s barrel wasn’t connected to the leg but was instead broken down into separate weapons. I suspect those barrel weapons would snap onto all sorts of spots on Hercules.

While you wait for me to review the last three figures see my earlier Hercules reviews — Structor review here, Heavy Labor review here, Exgraver review here — and for more Madblender shots see Vangelus’ quick pics. Yeah, Madblender is a great finish to the line.

And if you’re after Hercules you can find the toys at site sponsor TFSource as well as Big Bad Toy Store and Robot Kingdom.
