November 29, 1984. Here’s some cheap transforming robot action from the eighties that’s going to send a few of you off to eBay in search of toys. This Boscov’s advertisement from the Press and Sun-Bulletin newspaper shows that retailers weren’t all that selective in which transforming robot toys they stocked those first few years, and I love that the Robotron block of the ad uses the phrase “A Motorized Go-Bot” to convince kids that these robot toys are awesome.
